  • PCs for People: Computers for individuals and families that fall below 150% of the poverty line. Check website for listings.

  • Zebra Coalition Foster hope, dignity, and self-respect in LGBTQ youth including shelter, counseling, food, and medical assistance. Located in Orlando but can assist with regional resources.

  • Boot Camp for New Dads: Community-based workshop that inspires and equips men to support their mates and personally transform into dads.

  • Lifeline Assistance Programs: Helps to make telephone service affordable to low-income customers in Florida.

  • Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP): Assistance with utility bills. Find your local provider on the website

  • Salvation Army of Tallahassee: Financial assistance for rent, utilities, food. Call Monday mornings and have SS card, documented emergency, proof of residents, photo ID. (850)222-0304

  • The Assistance Fund: Financial assistance programs for children and adults diagnosed with critical or chronic illnesses.

 

Health

  • Aging Solutions: Assists with guardianship, wills, burial, and other needs.

  • Bond Community Health Center: Health Center which accepts medicaid/medicare and private insurance, as well as providing healthcare on a sliding scare with verification of income. Bring proof of insurance or verification of income on visit. (850) 576-4073

  • Florida’s Vision Quest: Vision screenings and glasses for children in a mobile vision clinic.

  • We Care Network: Free donated specialty medical care for parents referred by primary care. Must be uninsured and not eligible for any other government program. Must be Leon County residents and meet income guidelines. (850)942-5215.
